Describe What You Do

I coach and mentor people how to build a flexible income / business alongside their job / family commitments in the health and wellness sector.  I partnership with the company Forever – the aloe vera company with products ranging from drinks, supplement, personal care, skin care, sports nutrition, weight management, male grooming and even for animals.  We do not work alone, we work as a team helping, encouraging and supporting each other.

I love animals and have a 6 years old pointer cross rescue dog – who was extremely nervous when we first got her 3 years ago and now she has become a very affectionate dog.  My previous rescue dog lived with us for 11 years.

I volunteered as a mentor in The Girls Network last school year.  Over the last 3 years, through Forever I have also volunteered to pack food for Rise for Hunger.

Why Have You Signed up to Be a Sand Mentor?

I always like to help people and pay it forward.  I met Beki Tonks through networking and after our chat, I feel that Sand Mentor is a project I would like to contribute and help.

What Is Your Business/Work Ethos?

Forever offers opportunities to anyone regardless of their qualification, background, culture, age and sex and that’s why I am happy to get involved and have been with the company over 20 years.  Being an ethic minority in this country, I feel even stronger that everyone should be the same.

I feel that employment is for someone who likes to have a stable guarantee income however self employment offers more options and growth.  As job security is almost non existent nowadays, it’s always better to have a side business as a plan B.  I got involved with Forever when I was still working and am I glad that I did, because the little part time business has now become my new career.

My background was in IT, I have been in this industry for over 30 years until the early millennium when I got made redundant. I may be out of date with tech but I can be very quick to get back into it.
