Celebrating National Supported Internship Day with two very fabulous interns…
Meet our SAND Supported Interns, Jodie and Harry, who have both been making great strides with their on-the-job work placements this academic year.
Developing skills with a smile
Jodie has been serving delicious cakes, pastries, breads and hot drinks with a BIG smile at Patisserie 43 in Goring. A new business which has appreciated Jodie’s previous training and skills honed at The SAND Project cafe’s; Bay Cafe and East TOAST Cafe.
Real World Work Experience
Pop by for a sweet treat on a Tuesday or Wednesday and Jodie will be there to serve you!
Supported Intern, Jodie, showing us her barista skills at Patisserie 43.
Perfecting the art of service
Harry has been working hard at Our Rainbow Cafe, part of Hope Hive, in West Worthing. He’s been perfecting his barista skills and toastie making alongside his other cafe duties.
Cool Cafe Culture
The cafe is open to everyone and Harry will be sure to look after you if you fancy lunch out and about on a Thursday or Friday!
The Future is bright
It has been wonderful to see our interns confidence grow the year so far as they develop real work place skills, all with the fantastic support from these two local businesses.
We can really see the powerful difference a Supported Internship makes for everyone involved.
Let’s work together!
